30 Days of Little L - Day 11

Day 11 - A picture of you and your friends

Full disclosure: This post gave me a panic attack. I don't have a lot of offline friends, and I don't take pictures with other people, so when I saw this theme, I spiraled into, "Nobody likes me. Everybody hates me. Guess I'll go eat worms." Then M got really sick, and I realized that even if I didn't have any offline friends, I've still got him and the people I regularly talk to (and consider friends) online. So...here you go.

I know...I know. What a cop-out, right?

But here's the thing...I don't take pictures with people. Like, ever.

I have a few offline friends, but we're all antisocial, and most of the hanging out we do is on MMORPGs (online roleplaying games) or at company functions (because a lot of them work with M). And when we go to company functions, I refuse to take selfies with them because they're all taller than me, and they want to hold the phone, and I can't control the angle, and we all know how us girls need control of the angle.

And besides that, I'm not big on sharing pictures of people I know offline without their permission, and I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to share this blog with my offline friends. I haven't shared the other one with them. Some of them found it, and I'm okay with that, but to actively give them a link? Some of them are a lot more conservative (on a personal level, not a political one) than me, and probably wouldn't be interested. I mean, it's about my sex life.

So here's the only picture of me and my friends that you'll probably ever get. Those 23 followers are people I know online who cared enough about me to come over from the main Twitter. I already considered them friends, but now they're, like, stuck with me for all of eternity. Or something. 💜
